- Ambient interface: More matured wearables and NLP devices will redefine the user interactions with ambient cues and composite views. The augmented reality is ready for enterprise, and the virtual reality will mingle in the consumer products.
- Mesh architecture: The integrated model is designed for web-scale and interoperable applications with various information sources, devices, connectivities, apps, systems, and processes. Discoverable functions are cloudified in microservices. Solutions are orchestrated across multiple endpoint devices seamlessly and securely.
- Unified platforms: Cloud-based stacks and containerized deployment will provide scalable and robust operations environments with software-defined anything, improved DevOps capabilities, continuous integration, lean provisioning, self-healing, autonomic capabilities, etc.
- Social computing: Social media and networking will expand further, and messaging applications will continue to drive toward more specific and targeted contents. Social impact and social analytics will be embedded in the company processes and business offerings.
- Everything connected: IoT will continue to thrive to connect all useful things in both consumer and enterprise areas, reshaping the business models. Intelligence is modularized and API-driven in the applications and products, enabling cognitive thinking.
- Deep learning: Converged analytics with machine learning and AI will distill more insights on user behaviors and habits. Enhanced customized and personalized UX with protected privacy will mix the virtual and physical worlds in real time.
The paradigm has shifted to Industry 4.0. The only constant is the constant change. Apply new methodologies and nurture advanced practices for intelligent digitization. Be adaptive and pragmatic for the accelerated growth in the cyber-physical ecosystem.
